At Houston Therapy for Girls, we specialize in empowering young women, teens, and girls to develop the confidence and flexibility to embrace both life’s challenges and joys. We know change is stressful, even under the best of circumstances, and also that it is an unavoidable part of life. We are dedicated to meeting you where you are in order to provide therapy tailored to your stage of growth (your era, if you will) and the unique challenges you are navigating.
How We Help
Often finding the right therapist can feel harder than finding a great pair of jeans—nearly impossible. And ultimately we’ve found over the years that we work best with gals who want a safe space to feel truly seen, heard, and accepted in addition to feeling supported through the sometimes messy journey away from perfectionism, self-criticism, anxiety, depression, and shame towards greater flexibility, resilience, and self-compassion. They want to know the best ways to love and take care of themselves through the inevitable big feelings and hard moments and also find better ways to be in relationship with their friends and family.
We also love to help members of your support system gain the understanding and skills needed to support you through the hard stuff while also fostering deeper connections and stronger relationships. Together, we’ll enable you to move forward with resilience and hope.

Navigating young adulthood can feel absolutely overwhelming as you balance school and career demands with all your relationships – while still finding a little time in there to take care of yourself, too. We provide support for stress management, confidence building, and personal growth through age 30.

therapy for teens and younger girls
Adolescence comes with its own challenges, from friendships to anxiety to self-esteem. We help teens build resilience skills and develop healthy coping skills in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. We want to empower girls to discover what’s most important to them and figure out how to put all the pieces together to get more in alignment with those core values.

guidance for your support system
We want your family and other members of your support system involved! Supporting a gal through emotional struggles can be challenging, especially when she has big feelings that can result in big outbursts or totally closing off (or both!). We offer practical tools and skills that can be used at home to help support loved ones while strengthening relationships and improving family communication.
