For Girls

Current research shows that girls’ self-esteem peaks when they are 9 years old. Due to this fact, we often see the beginning signs of anxiety and depression at an early age. Our goal with young girls is to teach them along with their parents/guardian tools to help deal with the struggles of girls in the digital age. We help young girls develop the tools they need in a brief time and teach parents how to continue to facilitate growth outside of therapy. Many times we will combine family therapy and parent coaching with individual treatment to have a long lasting change.

Treatment Modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Emotion Focused Family Therapy
  • Mindfulness
  • “No-Drama Discipline” (Dr. Dan Siegel)
  • Positive Discipline
  • Self-Compassion
  • Shame Resilience (based on the work of Dr. Brené Brown)
